Update on new March 2025 deadline
On Thursday 19 September HMRC updated businesses that the Customs Declarations part of the Windsor Framework will no longer go ahead on Monday 30 September and be pushed to Monday 31 March 2025. This means that Co-op can continue with our current ways of moving and reporting goods into Northern Ireland.
Co-op is continuing to update our internal systems to better prepare our business for new HMRC data requirements. To do this there will be a small amount of downtime on Co-op Connect, this will affect current articles as well as new articles. We’ll share the exact dates of system downtime with you this month to allow all suppliers adequate time to submit new articles or adjust currently ranged goods.
Important:
This information isn’t to be confused with the NIRMS Phase 2 labelling deadline. From Tuesday 01 October, all dairy products moving from Great Britain to Northern Ireland must be individually labelled ‘Not-for-EU’.
From Tuesday 01 October, Co-op and Nisa will not distribute any phase 2 products from Great Britain into Northern Ireland that aren’t compliantly labelled ‘Not for EU’ in accordance with NIRMS requirements.
