Co-op enhances online offer with new categories and net zero deliveries

Co-op’s online offer is going from strength-to-strength with an ever-growing range available to customers and a decreasing carbon footprint with the help of our supply base and delivery partners.

We already deliver from over 400 of our stores, reaching a huge 27 million potential customers across the UK.

Now we’re enhancing that offer to take a bigger chunk of a growing online opportunity.

We’ll bring you flowers (and chilled drinks) in the pouring rain

In July, our stores started delivering two new categories to customers: horticulture and chilled drinks.

This expansion of items available across our range gives us greater cut through for those occasions which matter so much to the Co-op customer.

Whether that’s delivering flowers to a loved one at short notice or grabbing your favourite soft drink with your Co-op lunch.

This adds to Co-op’s over 10,000 products that are available online (between our online offer and Deliveroo), giving customers a huge range to choose from.

Going the extra (metaphorical) mile, to meet our climate commitments

In London, we’re extending our e-cargo bike to stores across the region. The Co-op branded bikes allow us to make net zero deliveries to our customers while boasting our Co-op difference on a stylish and sustainable mode of transport.

The e-cargo bikes will be joined by a fleet from our partners at Urb-It who will help us by bringing net zero deliveries too.

All this means our 40% of our deliveries across the London area will be net zero.

This is part of our wider vision to ‘co-operate for a fairer world’ and it’s an important aspect of our 10-step climate plan, which we shared with you in May.
