24 hour Coventry depot shutdown

This message is applicable to suppliers who deliver to Coventry NDC (National Distribution Centre)

What’s happening?

We use WMS to run our depot operations, and this creates tasks to pick, load and despatch goods from all of our depots into our stores.

As we’re switching over to our new system, the depots will be offline for a period of 24 hours. This period of downtime will result in us removing a delivery day for our stores – for Coventry depot this will be Tuesday 1 April 2025.

Why are we doing it?

Our current Warehouse Management System will be end of life by 2025. With Manhattan Active we'll never need to do an upgrade again. All upgrades will happen in the cloud, meaning that we won't need to carry out projects such as these in the future.

How does this impact me as a supplier?

See below how each area of supply will be impacted:

Tobacco

• There will be no Tobacco volume delivered into Coventry from 6am, Sunday 30 March until 10am on Monday 31 March 2025

• Tobacco will continue to be delivered from 10am on Monday 31 March as normal

Ambient and Medicine

• There will be no Ambient or Medicine volume delivered into Coventry from 6am Sunday 30 March until 10am Monday 31 March 2025

• Ambient and Medicine will continue to be delivered from 10am on Monday 31 March as normal
